Current Position:
District Assessment Coordinator, GED Program, Washington D.C.

I use my Women's Studies courses in my daily work in the field of education. As an educator for nearly 10 years, I build hope and confidence in communities who are consistently underserved and overlooked. The knowledge I obtained in the Women's Studies department motivated me to use my voice to speak out against educational inequalities. Access to an adequate education is one of the keys used to unlock the disparities facing this country and world.

A major and/or minor in Women's Studies is vital to the current social, political and economical climate. Now more than ever, globally women are making tremendous strides to improve the lives of their family, friends and community. My confidence blossomed while taking the rigorous Women's Studies courses.
